Robert J. Singer is an American animation artist and storyboard director. His career began in 1958 at Warner Bros., where he first learned how to storyboard and design backgrounds. Starting in 1965, Singer joined Hanna-Barbera and remained there for nearly three whole decades as a character designer, art director, and layout artist. 

His extensive credits include Space Ghost, Johnny Quest, The Flintstones, Super Friends, and Smurfs. He also notably designed the Mystery Machine and many of the monsters in the series Scooby-Doo, Where Are You!
