About Us
You may be wondering,"What is Clampett Studio Collections and why do they refer to themselves as Home of the Warner Bros. Gallery Program?" At Clampett Studio Collections we are proud to be the publisher of the Warner Bros. fine art program. CSC was established in 2001 after the closing of the Warner Bros. Studio Stores, to continue the tradition of Warner Bros. art being the most innovative and well-designed animation art in the industry.
Since our inception we've also expanded our line to include both traditional and contemporary interpretive artists with varied subject matter. We distribute our line to the finest animation and entertainment galleries in the country. Over our twelve years we have developed hundreds of editions and launched major art programs for the studio. So as you browse through our site you can be confident knowing we bring decades of expertise from the art and animation industry into everything that we do. The owner and founder of this business is Ruth Clampett.
Ruth Clampett: Founder, Creative Director
Ruth Clampett, daughter of legendary animation director, Bob Clampett, has spent a lifetime surrounded by art and animation. Graduating with distinction from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, Ruth opened her own Design/Photography studio in 1984. During this period she also taught Photography to designers at UCLA for three years. In 1985 the Clampett family established the Bob Clampett Animation Foundation and began selling limited edition animation art taken from Bob’s original drawings. Ruth became Creative Director and produced editions from Bob’s Warner Bros. and Beany & Cecil cartoons for the growing animation art market.
At the end of 1992 Warner Bros. decided to develop their own gallery division and brought Ruth on as Creative Design Manager. Ruth began her position at Warner Bros. almost fifty years after her Father left the studio. Eventually promoted to Vice President of Design for all store product, Ruth and her team of thirty-five Designers and Illustrators created over 2, 000 entertainment related products per year, including animation art and gallery gifts that were sold in stores throughout the world. In 2001, after the closing of the WB Studio Stores, Ruth was awarded the license to publish fine art for Warner Bros. where she’s had the opportunity to know and work with many of the greatest artists in the world of animation and comics. Ruth has put together a team at CSC of long-time Animation Art professionals. Our cumulative experience in the animation art business totals over 100 years.
Our agreement with Warner Bros. covers two key areas: we acquired and are the distributors for the unframed inventory from Warner Bros. Studio Stores, and we have the license to publish art from the Time Warner library of cartoons and films. Our offices are in Burbank, not far from the Warner Bros. Studios. Our primary focus is to provide and create the most innovative, well-designed animation art of the highest integrity. If in the end, a collector is happy with something we have produced, then we know we have succeeded.
