In 1962, legendary animation director, Bob Clampett created “Beany and Cecil,” an animated series modeled after the successful puppet show, “Time For Beany.” The series, like the puppet show, featured Beany, Cecil the Seasick Sea Serpent, and a plethora of other characters, who today remain as quirky as they are original, as their adventures embark them on surreal parodies of contemporary events and places.

The Wildman of Wildsville is encountered upon after Beany, Cecil and Uncle Captain (the Leakin’ Lena’s captain), land on No Bikini Atoll to find the elusive Wildman of Wildsville. Once he is found, what our trio soon recognizes is the Wildman is a beatnik who practices his art in the realm of the surreal. Decidedly, for a character who appeared in only one episode of Beany and Cecil, the Wildman is one of the most fondly remembered of the series (not to mention being our own personal spokesperson for our website art business).
