- Classic Batman was first released by the Warner Bros. Studio Stores in 1998.
- Batman’s character first appeared in Detective Comics #27 in 1939. Created by Bob Kane, Batman’s original intent was that of pulp fiction hero who was involved in the solving of murders.
- This image of Batman was adapted from the Batman cartoon series, and the Emmy Award-winning design created by series producer Bruce
Timm.
- Also known as Bruce Wayne, Batman came about for Wayne as he was startled by a bat outside his window. From there, he received the idea to dress like a bat in order to strike fear in the villains he pursued.
- Classic Batman is a hand-painted limited edition cel and background, sold in an edition of 500.
