Looney Tunes Emergency, rendered by Juan
Ortiz, shows what many of us have wondered about the damage
inflicted on Looney Tunes characters – namely, if it hurts
and do they ever go to the hospital.
-
Ortiz’s rendition is even funnier when one
sees exactly who and what kind of damage is inflicted on the
characters as Ortiz incorporates Wile E. Coyote, Daffy Duck
and Yosemite Sam with injuries they are most likely to fall
victim of in a classic Looney Tunes short.
-
Of course, Bugs has his usual smug
expression, letting us know he’s had a personal hand in the
delivery of these protagonists to the Looney Tunes
emergency.
-
As a hand-painted cel, Looney Tunes
Emergency was first silk-screened onto acetate, then painted
on the reverse in the classic animation style.
-
The background for Looney Tunes Emergency
was painted by Hector Martinez, and reproduced using the
fine art Giclee process.
