- The book, published in Nov. 2002, immortalizes each hero within the JLA, and demonstrates the varying backgrounds from which the characters have come.
- JLA: Secret Origins is produced in a giclee print edition of 250. A canvas edition of 100 is available only at special events with Alex Ross.
- Originally painted as individual portraits, the characters were later digitally joined as a group.
