  • “Classic Scooby-Doo” began life as a drawing by Scooby-Doo creator Iwao Takamoto. The drawing was hand-inked by Helene Hartman. Dennis Durrell rendered the background, also drawn by Iwao Takamoto.

  • The appropriateness of this pose is important for when “Scooby-Doo” was developed, the cartoon intended to be about a crime-solving dog with humans as the supporting cast.

  • “Classic Scooby-Doo” is stamped with both the Hanna-Barbera and Iwao Takamoto design seal.
