Jim Balent

The unprecedented master of Catwoman, Jim Balent is credited with over 77 DC Comics cover drawings of the feline-like jewel thief. His work with her spans a six-year period from 1993 to 1999. Jim is also known for his mini series creations based on Batman, Lobo and Dark Claw, and of course the sexiness he brings to virtually every female DC Comics character on whom he works.

In 1999, Jim started BroadSword Comics, where his first creator-owner property, “Tarot: Witch of the Black Rose,” garnered much acclaim. Following that was “3 Little Kittens: Purrfect Weapons,” which quickly became a fan favorite as well.

In the years since, Jim’s properties have expanded past the comic book page. His Tarot and 3 Little Kittens have spawned tee-shirt and underwear lines as well as limited edition fine art prints, stickies, lunchboxes, statues and fragrances.
