Ruth Clampett, daughter of legendary animation director, Bob Clampett, has
spent a lifetime surrounded by art and animation. Graduating with
Distinction from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, Ruth opened
her own Design/Photography studio in 1984. During this period she also
taught Photography to designers at UCLA for three years. In 1985 the
Clampett family established the Bob Clampett Animation Foundation and
began selling limited edition animation art taken from Bob’s original
drawings. Ruth became Creative Director and produced editions from
Bob’s Warner Bros. And Beany & Cecil cartoons for the growing
animation art market. At the end of 1992 Warner Bros. Decided to develop
their own gallery division and brought Ruth on as Creative Design
Manager. Ruth began her position at Warner Bros. almost fifty years
after her Father left the studio. Eventually promoted to Vice President
of Design for all store product, Ruth and her team of thirty-five
Designers and Illustrators created over 2, 000 entertainment related
products per year, including animation art and gallery gifts that were
sold in stores throughout the world. After the closing of the WB Studio
Stores, Ruth was awarded the license to continue the gallery business,
and established Clampett Studio Collections in fall of 2001.

Carol
started her career in the wholesale/retail art world with Circle Gallery
in 1982, where she first worked with Ruth as Director of Circle’s
Animation Art program. Circle Galleries was a major force in
establishing animation as fine art in the market. In 1992 she was hired
by Warner Bros. Studio Stores to help set up their gallery division.
During her nine years with the company she worked in all areas of the
business, and built relationships with the world-class group of artists
and creators the gallery represented. Instrumental in helping Ruth
obtain the License for the gallery business from Warner Bros., she is
now Director of Operations for Clampett Studio Collections.

Michelle
began at Warner Bros. in 1993, as a Gallery Manager in Torrance,
California. She then went on to manage the Warner Bros. studio Store
gallery in Las Vegas, the largest grossing gallery in the chain. During
her nine years at Warner Bros., Michelle was the leading sales person in
the history of the company. In 1997 she was promoted from the Las Vegas
Gallery Manager to the National Sales and Special Events Manager for
WBSS within the Warner Bros. Corporate Offices. She is currently the
Director of Sales and Marketing for Clampett Studio Collections.
Michelle’s background is in marketing and promoting musical groups,
and learned her work ethic from being a shooting guard for NCAA
collegiate basketball team and Troy State, where she was instrumental in
winning one championship. Michelle still holds the record for assists on
the “Lady Trojans.”

Rebecca,
a Chuck Jones alumni where she was a production and postproduction
designer and archivist, came to Warner Bros. in 1993 as a production
manager and worked with Ruth Clampett in design, with whom she
co-produced prints and collectible art. Rebecca left Warner Bros. in
1996 to start her own design company. Rebecca then took a two-year
hiatus to travel the world, bringing back a myriad of experiences that
she has since applied to her own art. In 1999, Rebecca returned to
Warner Bros. and teamed up with Ruth as a freelance designer for the
Studio Stores. In 2001, she was chosen by Ruth to come onboard Clampett
Studio Collections as Design Director. Her responsibilities range from
conceptions, research, providing artist’s guidelines, and development
of graphics. An avid musician, Rebecca will release her first CD at the
end of 2002.

Susan,
our Production Manager, began her animation career in 1991 with Circle
Galleries, where she performed a variety of tasks related to the
wholesale purchase and resale of animation art. She left Circle Gallery
in 1993 for Warner Bros., where she became the Consumer Products
Production Supervisor, in charge of quality control for all Warner Bros.
Studio Store limited editions. There, Susan oversaw a variety of tasks,
ranging from the painting of cels and backgrounds, artist signings and
contract negotiation for the various artists Warner Bros. Consumer
Products utilized. Susan came to Clampett Studio Collections in 2001,
where she now oversees production for our limited edition cels and print
art.

Stephanie
has been in the animation industry for close to 30 years. She began at
Hanna-Barbara in 1975, where she worked her way up within the apprentice
program to become an animation related jack of all trades. Since then,
she’s been a painter, mock-up specialist and checker. Stephanie has
even been involved in special effects. Before starting with Clampett
Studio Collection, Stephanie was an archivist with Warner Bros. Consumer
Products. She worked closely with entities within Warner Bros. Studio
Stores in addition to divisions such as TV and Cinema Animation on up to
the corporate heads of the studio. A continual involvement in animation
has paid off well for Stephanie as can be shown in the multitudes of
screen credits she has garnered within her animation career.

Brings
years of artistic experience to Clampett Studio Collections, where he is
responsible for coordination of the Clampett Studio Collections’
program creating one of a kind creations for collectors. Up until 2000,
Brian was a Design Director for Warner Bros. Studio Store program,
working in both two-dimensional and three-dimensional forms. Brian, a
graduate of Pasadena’s Art Center College of Design, has had clothing
design and tabletop design experience, beginning in 1987 with Ken Done
Designs out of Australia. Brian is an avid painter, who takes his
stylistic queues from Matisse, Picasso and Dubuffet.

David
worked as an assistant to the writing team assigned to the “Batman”
and “Superman” animated series. Possessing, as he puts it,
absolutely no talent toward drawing anything other than stick figures,
David settles himself on the writing end of animation, where he has
written for productions such as “The New Adventures of Batman,”
“Superman,” “Pinky and the Brain,” and “Animaniacs.” His
team’s work on “The New Adventures of Batman” and “Superman”
earned them an Emmy award in 1998. David is a graduate of the University
of Southern California, where he received his Bachelors and Masters
degrees in writing, and has published short stories, poetry and a
collection of children’s stories with Random House.

John Murphy started his career in animation art with Linda Jones
Enterprises (LJE) in 1991 as a Retail Sales Associate with the
Chuck Jones Showroom. He then moved to the LJE corporate office
where he specialized in Wholesale Gallery Relations. In 1993,
John joined the Studio Stores division of Warner Bros. Consumer
Products, where he was a Wholesales Sales Representative. In
1997, John was promoted to Wholesales Sales Manager, and helped
merge the Hanna-Barbera Animation Art Program with the Warner
Bros. Animation Art Program. In 1998, John worked directly with
Ruth when he shifted gears to become the Operations Manager of
the Design Department at Warner Bros. Studio Stores. John joined
Clampett Studio Collections in October 2002, as Director of
Special Projects in charge of web site operations and updates,
client communications and special events. Many gallery owners
are familiar with John from his years at LJE and Warner Bros.
